Reflect Now

Lectio Divina is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation, and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's Word.

  1. Lectio (Reading): Read a passage of Scripture slowly and attentively several times. Listen for a word or phrase that stands out to you.
  2. Meditatio (Meditation): Reflect on the word or phrase. Why did it catch your attention? What is God saying to you through it?
  3. Oratio (Prayer): Respond to the passage by opening your heart to God. This is your conversation with Him.
  4. Contemplatio (Contemplation): Rest in God's presence. Simply be with Him, allowing Him to work in your heart beyond words and thoughts.
